Additional enemies will also spawn from the portals, but there’s a way to ignore them (which I’ll explain in a while). Have one player pick this up and use it to beat down the mobs. The three players who got teleported will notice a relic once they spawn in. If you got teleported: Taking the relic, killing the Oracles, and cleansing the blindness Atheon won’t shoot at you while the Oracle phase is happening, but some harpies might still damage you. Note: At least one outside player needs to do callouts for the Oracles that appear, and most will be visible when you’re on one of the ledges at the back (close to your spawn point). In our case, we decided to start from the front left (closer to the Mars teleporter) going counter-clockwise to the back left (closer to Atheon). Ideally, you’ll want the entire fireteam to be on the same page as to how they’re called out/numbered. There are six spots that they can appear at. Similar to previous encounters, a set of three Oracles will spawn at intervals. However, the most important factor to remember would be the red Oracles that spawn in mid-air. The outside players should also clear more harpy mobs, including supplicants (exploding harpies) which can instantly kill you. One player from the outside team will stand on the pillar that’s on the plate to activate the teleporter for that location. First, the teleported players will call out their new location. The three other players will be left outside. If you’re left outside: Watching out for supplicants and doing callouts for the OraclesĮventually, Atheon will send three players to a random location (either Mars or Venus). As for those that are floating higher in the air, you can leave one alive so Atheon doesn’t spawn additional sets. Note: Kill the harpies that are close to the ground. Just stay at the sides, clearing out the harpies that appear. As such, you should be slightly familiar with the layout of the normal area, as well as the teleport locations (Mars/left and Venus/right).Īt the start, try to avoid Atheon’s torch hammer blasts since the weapon can two-shot you easily if you’re out in the open. The Atheon boss fight in Destiny 2‘s Vault of Glass raid takes place in the same area where you finished the Gatekeeper encounter. Here’s our guide to help you with the Atheon boss fight in Destiny 2‘s Vault of Glass raid. It’s none other than Atheon, Time’s Conflux, a gigantic Vex gate lord that’s set to annihilate your team. Now, it’s time to face off against the “big bad” of the Vault of Glass raid. If you want all that sweet Destiny loot then you will want to make sure to complete the Templar challenge as it has some of the coolest looking armor and weapons in all of Destiny. You’ve defeated the Templar and cleared the Gatekeeper encounter. This is a relatively easy challenge, but you will need to have good communication in order to be victorious. Try to stagger out and combine ultimates like Shadow Shot and Ward of Dawn to stack damaging effects, giving you a better chance at finishing him off before someone dies. You will need to keep doing this in order to keep his shield down so during the entire engagement the other four people should be firing their weapons at it. However, if he tries to warp to one of the two spots on the right then pick a party member and have them rush to that point and deny him the warp. The shield runner will be responsible for the both left warp points, so if the Templar attempts to go for this area make a run for that section. During this, the mechanical monster will attempt to escape so it’s up to your relic carrier to stop him from vanishing. This will leave him open to attack and allow the team of five in the corner to deal damage to it. Once your relic bearer has his super, have him jump to the other side and then blast the shield off the Templar. To start the fight have all six players huddle up in the back right corner and begin the engagement, taking out any Harpies that stary too close. This means that you will need to have someone constantly moving around the map to block his escape and ensure that your fireteam can pour on the damage. The actual challenge this time around is to only have one person hold the relic during the entire event and you must block off every teleport that the Templar attempts. While many of the mechanics remain the same, there are some changes that can make this fight especially difficult if they’re not careful. Kicking off the challenges for Destiny’s latest updated raid Vault of Glass, players will be tasked with taking down the Templar.
